Branch Operations Manager

Mobile Air & Power Rentals provides temporary cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions nationwide through a portfolio that includes portable air conditioners, cooling towers, chillers, heaters, dehumidifiers, generators, and power distribution equipment. About the role

The Branch Operations Manager oversees and coordinates all operations of a branch, including staffing, rental fleet, parts/accessory inventory, technician team development, and customer/community relationships. This role drives adoption and execution of company and safety policies, fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Core responsibility for service execution delivery resulting in enhanced customer service levels.
• Direct supervision and deployment of technicians through planning and scheduling.
• Completion and management of Individual Development Plans (IDPs); collaboration with the Regional Service Manager and Training Department for workforce planning and skills development.
• Enforcement of standards, execution of objectives, and accountability for team performance.
• Providing day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, development, and corrective action to ensure optimal team performance.
• Providing input and recommendations for personnel decisions (hiring, termination, promotion, performance management, salary administration) to the Regional Service Manager.
• Acting as Local HSE Representative, driving safety performance and accountability, ensuring safe, clean, operational facilities and work areas, and conducting daily toolbox and safety meetings.
• Ensuring timely maintenance, availability, and reliability of fleet for deployment; maintaining accuracy of fleet readiness, utilization, inventory, and related information.
• Scheduling and coordinating deployment of fleet and staff to fulfill customer contracts.
• Executing logistics and equipment transfer requests, ensuring equipment is prepared and functional at deployment.
• Ensuring compliance with MAPR standards and delivery on all key operations metrics.
• Requisitioning and reporting receipt of supplies, parts, and fleet.
• Reviewing work orders and coaching technicians on execution.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years related experience.
• 3 years of direct line‑management experience preferred.
• 1 year of experience managing technical employees preferred.
• Successful experience in financial management against measurable performance standards, leading/managing an Operations Team.
• Conceptual understanding of the technical fundamentals of core Mobile Air & Power Rentals activities (Electrical, Diesel, Temperature Control) preferred.
• Experience with lean principles (5S/6S) and related process‑improvement methodologies preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and customer‑service skills.
