About the role

UMB Personal Banking and Consumer Services offers financial solutions to customers who value an individualized relationship and advisory experience. The Branch Manager II oversees all operational aspects of more complex branches with larger balance sheets and greater responsibility. This role sets the tone for branch associates, ensuring unparalleled customer service while developing associates and executing UMB’s retail strategy. The Branch Manager II assists customers with teller transactions and a variety of banker functions, stepping into a leadership role as a partner to both customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Coach associates on performance, including proactive sales conversations, operational items, and customer interactions.
• Assist or provide guidance on handling complex account maintenance and resolving customer escalations.
• Collaborate with internal partners such as small business officers, mortgage officers, and private wealth managers.
• Participate in continued education and training to meet individual sales performance and operational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or comparable college and/or business experience.
• 3 years of leadership, associate development, or sales experience.
• 3+ years of banking/financial services experience OR a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
• NMLS registration or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Pay

Compensation Range: $67,869 - $99,836. The posted range represents UMB’s good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and expectations for starting pay, though actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
