About the role

As a Branch Manager, you will be the frontline leader for the branch team, setting the tone to ensure associates are eager to assist customers while delivering unparalleled service. You will oversee all operational aspects of the branch, assist with teller transactions, and perform a variety of banker functions. This role focuses on developing associates and executing UMB’s retail strategy, empowering you to step into a partnership role with both customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Coach associates on performance, including proactive sales conversations, operational items, and customer interactions.
• Assist or provide guidance on complex account maintenance and resolve customer escalations.
• Collaborate with internal partners, such as small business officers, mortgage officers, and private wealth managers.
• Participate in continued education and training to meet individual sales performance and operational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or comparable college and/or business experience.
• 2 years of leadership, associate development, or management experience.
• 2 years of banking/financial services experience OR a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
• NMLS registration or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Pay

Compensation Range: $67,869 - $99,836. The posted range represents UMB’s good faith and reasonable estimate based on its budget and expectations for the starting pay for this role. Actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
