Branch Manager

About the role

The Branch Manager position at WaFd Bank is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can drive business development and sales, particularly with small businesses, while growing deposits, originating loans, and expanding client relationships through cross-selling additional services.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales, particularly with small businesses
• Grow deposits, originate loans, and expand client relationships through cross-selling additional services
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve growth goals
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure consistent high levels of customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards
• Coach, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to staff
• Reflect WaFd Bank's corporate values of integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field
• 5+ years in banking, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role; prior sales or client relations experience, preferred
• Proven success in small business development, deposit/loan growth, and cross-selling
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and operational procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), keyboarding, and digital banking tools
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded

Qualifications

• Must adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations

Pay

Starting salary range: USD $63,000.00/Yr. Potential for higher compensation based on performance and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible hours to meet the needs of the branch and customers.
