About the role

The Branch Manager position at WaFd Bank is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can drive business development, grow deposits, originate loans, and expand client relationships. This role focuses on small businesses and requires strong leadership, coaching, and compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales, particularly with small businesses
• Grow deposits and originate loans
• Expand client relationships through cross-selling additional services
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to achieve growth goals
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure consistent high levels of customer satisfaction
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field
• 5+ years in banking, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role; prior sales or client relations experience, preferred
• Proven success in small business development, deposit/loan growth, and cross-selling
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and operational procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), keyboarding, and digital banking tools
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded
