Responsibilities
- Projects a positive image of the Company and colleagues at client negotiations, conferences, technical meetings, and within the office
- Sigs letters, proposals, and reports bearing professional stamp (if applicable) and assumes responsibility in the name of the Company
- Responsible for work assigned to the Branch regarding professional liability and contractual obligations. All technical work must be conducted so that the standard of care is met
- Provides guidance, training, and instruction to subordinates in regulatory, technical, and administrative aspects of environmental, geotechnical, or construction materials testing consulting
- Responsible for project financials, proposals, and resource allocation/utilization
- Leads people management, career development, and overall office culture in accordance with UES vision
- Pursues new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client relationships
- Plans Branch strategy in conjunction with Group Managers to meet Company goals
- Manages branch budgets, forecasts, hiring, and staff development
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree required
- 8+ years of experience in consulting engineering roles involving Geotechnical or CMT projects
- Professional Engineering License required or can be obtained within 6 months
- Preferred Experience: Must have thorough knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering or Materials Testing services consulting business
- Consulting Engineering business acumen including P/L responsibilities
- Active membership in professional and civic organizations
