Responsibilities
- Directs, promotes, and coordinates branch operations.
- Maintains standards for customer service, operational budgets, inventory management, staffing, transportation, quality and productivity standards, customer service and communication, safety, regulatory affairs, facility organization, training, administration, and security.
- Cultivates and maintains a business culture that is seen by customers as friendly, proactive, helpful, and exceeding expectations.
- Mentors, trains, and supports other Branch Managers if assigned.
- Manages customer experience by ensuring prompt, professional service, establishing standards, monitoring interaction quality, enforcing standards, developing relationships, and resolving customer complaints and disputes.
- Manages the branch team by fostering a cohesive and productive team, establishing, communicating, and modeling performance expectations, monitoring reports, gathering feedback, observing performance, and providing training.
- Ensures compliance with company employment policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Manages the business by establishing, owning, and implementing operating plans and budgets, monitoring performance against goals, managing inventory, overseeing product returns and warranty processing, and controlling branch operational costs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year directly managing a large team of employees in a wholesale operations setting.
- Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Experience with OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
