About the role
American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking an energetic, self-motivated candidate to fill a Branch Manager position at our Springfield, MO location. American Welding & Gas (AWG) is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Springfield, Missouri location.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a culture where safety is the highest priority
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team
- Drive profitable sales growth and expand customer relationships
- Manage branch profitability through effective P&L oversight
- Deliver exceptional customer service for walk-in, phone, and delivery customers
- Oversee inventory, warehouse, production, and distribution operations
- Maintain key performance metrics and implement continuous improvements
- Hire, develop, and evaluate branch employees
- Collaborate with regional leadership and neighboring branches to support company initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
Requirements
- Confident leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving operational challenges, and delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience
- Previous experience managing an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or retail operation
- Demonstrated success leading teams and developing employees
- Experience managing budgets, expenses, and profit & loss performance
- Strong customer relationship and business development skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience
- Previous experience managing an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or retail operation
