Branch Manager

About the role

We are hiring a Branch Manager in Chapmanville, WV. The position requires previous management experience in a customer-facing environment, familiarity with retail or industrial distribution, ability to lift up to 125 lbs, proficient computer skills, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote sales and deliver excellent customer service
• Nurture inventory levels and balance expenses through purchases
• Foster facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards
• Support the outside sales team in nurturing client relationships and exploring new business opportunities
• Audit and maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and PO expedite reports
• Cultivate and refine appropriate inventory levels for the branch
• Facilitate and lead training sessions for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety
• Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates
• Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management

Requirements

• Previous management experience in a customer facing environment
• Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools
• The ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently
• Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management

Qualifications

• Track record of meaningful contributions in the welding, gas, or safety industry
• 3+ years of experience in a role focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency
• 5+ years’ experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions
• Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support
