About the role

We are hiring a Branch Manager in Fond du Lac, WI. Base pay plus bonus opportunities! Monday - Friday, no weekend work!

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals.
  • Promote sales and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Nurture inventory levels and balance expenses through purchasing support.
  • Foster facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Empower team members in providing efficient customer service, maintaining good housekeeping, and harmonizing overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and handle call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
  • Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
  • Support the flow of accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
  • Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
  • Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
  • Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, ensuring the confidence that all associates can perform essential branch functions.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
  • Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven managerial experience in a customer-facing environment, coupled with demonstrated expertise in Profit and Loss (P&L) management and the strategic use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance.
  • Valued experience in people leadership with a dedication to supporting team growth and alignment, coaching, mentoring, and team development.
  • Skill in fostering alignment within complex customer relationships and guiding and supporting distribution center operations.
  • Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions and experience in the welding industry (preferred).
  • Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support (preferred).
  • Computer experience or basic knowledge of SAP (preferred).
