About the Role
The branch leader is responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned branch, driving performance through leadership, coaching, and business development. This role is critical to Truist’s purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities, with a focus on small business expertise.
Responsibilities
- Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values within the team.
- Drive business development and branch performance in alignment with Truist’s strategy, including Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnerships.
- Grow branch revenue through Small Business development, new client strategies, and face-to-face client appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.
- Participate in civic, government, professional, and community affairs to develop new business and build the Truist brand.
- Lead, coach, and motivate teammates to fulfill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values for client financial success and team empowerment.
- Partner with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Operations teams to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics.
- Oversee human capital decisions, including interviewing, hiring, workforce scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and development planning.
- May assist with teller transactions as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training/experience.
- Two years of financial services and consumer/small business expertise or equivalent experience.
- One year of branch leadership or management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship-building, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must become SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
- Graduate of internal leadership development programs.
Pay
- Branch Leader I: $56,570–$90,500 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
- Branch Leader II: $70,040–$108,500 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
- Branch Leader III: $80,550–$118,000 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
