Position Summary

As a Branch Department Manager I at Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, you'll have the opportunity to lead a branch where relationships come first. By creating exceptional member experiences, building community connections, and empowering employees to do their best work, you'll build relationships that empower a lifetime of financial wellness for both members and employees.

Essential Duties

  • Lead and develop a high-performing branch team focused on service excellence, employee growth, and achievement of branch goals.
  • Drive branch performance by deepening member relationships, growing products and services, and supporting business development efforts.
  • Oversee daily branch operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Coach and support employees through regular feedback, performance management, and development planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the community while promoting the Credit Union's mission, products, and services.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience in Retail Banking or Financial Services.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of member services, consumer lending, operational controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and achieve sales, service, and operational goals.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Previous branch management experience within a bank or credit union.
  • Experience leading sales, business development, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Notary certified, Medallion, and Licensed Banker, or ability to obtain within the first 12 months.
  • Demonstrated success improving branch performance, employee engagement, and member satisfaction.
