About the role

This volunteer role supports outreach efforts by managing local communications, social media, and public relations to raise awareness and engagement in the Big Sky Area. The Communications Coordinator will share responsibilities with another local Communications Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Develop and share content for newsletters, social media, and local media outlets
• Coordinate with regional staff and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and event updates
• Maintain consistent and positive Special Olympics brand voice across all communications
• Assist with event promotion and coverage

Support & Training

• New coordinator orientation and ongoing training provided by SOMT Outreach and Marketing Communications staff
