Boys and Girls Youth Development Professional - White Earth

About the Role
The White Earth Reservation Tribal Council is seeking qualified candidates to provide organized recreational and social activities that support and encourage the development of reservation youth at the Boys & Girls Club. This role operates in accordance with White Earth Tribal policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and regulations. You will provide direct supervision of youth to ensure a well-rounded, developmental environment and create/implement Boys and Girls Club programs by coordinating between Tribal and non-Tribal entities. Responsibilities include maintaining and managing daily operations of the assigned unit.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality youth programming and services to meet high standards for participants and families.
- Instruct and engage youth in arts & crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
- Apply relevant equipment, procedures, and strategies to ensure the safety and protection of youth, data, property, and work sites.
- Work cooperatively within a team to achieve effective and successful group outcomes.
- Follow and apply policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council and Boys & Girls Club of America.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) months of experience working with youth.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions within the last seven (7) years.
- Lifeguard certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
