Boys 9th Grade Assistant Basketball Coach
Location: Newton High School
About the role
The position will remain open until filled. The successful candidate must have a valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in order to coach for our District.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of the boys 9th grade basketball program
- Work closely with the head coach to ensure the success of the team
- Attend all home and away games and practices
- Participate in team meetings and other coaching responsibilities
Requirements
- A valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
- A copy of the following Iowa BOEE Coaching Certificate
- A Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate
- Coaching transcripts
Qualifications
- Experience coaching high school basketball
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work well with students, staff, and community members
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Knowledge of high school basketball rules and regulations

Pay
$3,353 per month
Schedule
Varies based on game schedule and practice requirements
