JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate a company box truck to transport materials, components, and finished goods between plant locations, suppliers, and customers.
- Complete and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using proper securement, dunnage, and weight distribution practices.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment during loading and unloading.
- Verify shipment accuracy against bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documentation prior to departure.
- Obtain delivery signatures, maintain delivery records, and return completed paperwork to the Logistics team.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, and hours-of-service documentation as required.
- Plan and follow assigned routes, adjusting as needed for traffic, weather, or schedule changes.
- Communicate delays, route issues, or delivery discrepancies to the Logistics Supervisor promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and properly maintained; report mechanical concerns immediately.
- Support warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, staging, and cycle counts, when not on the road.
- Follow all DOT, OSHA, company, and customer site safety regulations at all times.
- Complete other logistics related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Handheld scanners and warehouse management systems
- Microsoft Outlook (basic proficiency)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- DOT medical certification, or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 1–2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain one
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to sit, stand, climb, and bend throughout the shift
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as production demands require
