The Role
The Box Office Attendant is responsible for assisting guests with all ticketing needs, including purchasing tickets and distributing pre-arranged tickets through will call. This role serves as a key point of contact for patrons and contributes to a positive and welcoming guest experience. In addition to ticketing transactions, the Box Office Attendant provides general information about Desert Diamond Arena including event details, schedules, and venue policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Service Guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Accurate distribution of will call tickets to guests for various events
- Aid guests with ticket purchases
- Provide general information regarding Desert Diamond Arena – Accurately reconcile all sales and will call receipts
- Interact in a professional manner when dealing with other building staff, clients, guests, supervisors, and corporate staff
Qualifications
- A minimum education level of Highschool Diploma or its equivalency
- Minimum of 0-1 years’ work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to accurately and efficiently deal with large quantities of cash or other payment methods
- Must exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have an understanding or have the ability to learn basic computer skills and Desert Diamond Arena’s Ticketing Platform
- Must also have the ability to work varied shifts with can include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or live event/entertainment ticketing space preferred but is not required
