Box Office Associate

Maintain Fine Arts Box office and assist with ticketing and sales for Fine Arts events. Reports to Grayson College Theatre Technical Director.

Responsibilities

• Maintain weekday hours of 1:00 pm‑5:00 pm in the Grayson College Fine Arts Box Office, and/or evening/event hours as assigned.
• Required to work long hours on event days with flex scheduling to balance hours.
• Assist customers at Box office windows with ticket sales, will call, etc.
• Assist with on‑line ticket sales and responsible for ticket inventory and stocking.
• Serve as box office receptionist; assume supervisory role on event nights with other part‑time, student and volunteer box office workers.
• Prepare box office area for event night activities and post event wrap‑up, including but not limited to printing will call, preparing seller books, balancing sales books for each production, hanging signage, writing out lost ticket vouchers.
• Balance all daily transactions, rec sheets, sales reports, and daily deposits.
• Maintain and oversee Grayson College Art Gallery space as needed.

Requirements

• Experience: One (1) year of experience in customer service and cash‑handling.
• Education: Two (2) year college degree required.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer service skills; ability to handle and keep information confidential; excellent communication (speaking and listening) skills.
• Other Skills: Expected to comply with all Grayson College COVID‑19 protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Physical activities include sitting, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, as well as bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, balancing and handling of materials.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 lbs.

Pay

$18 per hour (part‑time, maximum 19 hours per week).

Schedule
