Bowling and Events Supervisor

About the role

We’re looking for a Supervisor to help lead the team at our brand-new family entertainment facility opening soon at Pacific View, Ventura! If you're into video games, bowling, karaoke, enjoy being around people, and thrive in a fun environment, we’d love to hire you.

Applicants must have a completed high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years or older (to handle and serve alcohol), and have open availability, especially nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
    • Provide superior customer service and satisfaction by being constantly visible and readily accessible.
    • Offer bowling tips and techniques to customers.
    • Conduct alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies.
  • Team Management:
    • Coach and develop effective staff for the Bowling and Events Department.
    • Review department time sheets for accuracy of hours and overtime.
  • Sales:
    • Responsible for the sales and profit projections of the bowling and events department.
    • Proactively support promotional activities within the store.
  • Auditing / Compliance:
    • Audit refunds and/or credits against itemized sales from the previous day, as well as cash drawers and transactions.
    • Audit and track special events.
    • Create a Daily Audit Report with sales information and auditing discoveries for store management.
  • Operations / Facility Management:
    • Ensure the facility is always clean and organized.
    • Maintain satisfactory maintenance, appearance, and condition of assigned facilities.
    • Enforce compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policy pertaining to safety and loss prevention.
    • Comply with all OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 21 years or older (required to handle and serve alcohol).
  • Open availability, especially nights and weekends.
  • 2-3 years of hospitality management experience, preferably in the entertainment, retail, or hospitality industries.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces.
  • Required to stand and walk for extensive periods without breaks during busy times.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
