General Summary of Duties
- Aid the Chef de Cuisine and Senior Sous Chef in restaurant operations
- Ensure service standards meet accreditation sources
- Update RecipeXchange website
- Support planning, organizing, training, and leadership
- Lead in creating a respectful work environment
- Document recipes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
- Manage inventory and purchasing
- Create and sustain internship program
- Ensure food preparation and service quality
- Document paperwork and maintain equipment
- Follow restaurant policies and regulations
- Develop staff in managerial and food education
- Supervise kitchen during prep and service
- Expedite service and schedule labor
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Two (2) years’ experience in culinary management
- High school diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
- Qualifying certificate in Food Protection from local Department of Health
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and knowledge of Bourbon Steak and JW Marriott values
- Attention to detail and follow-through of restaurant policies
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and push for extended periods
- Physical agility and ability to work in confined spaces
