About the role
Morgan Lewis, one of the world’s leading international law firms, is seeking Of Counsel candidates with 7-9 years of law firm experience to join our litigation – legacy liability and receivership insurance recovery practice. The successful applicant must possess experience litigating insurance coverage disputes related to long-tail liability claims for asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, and/or environmental damages.
Responsibilities
- Litigate insurance coverage disputes related to long-tail liability claims for asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, and/or environmental damages.
- Advise clients on insurance policy language and coverage issues.
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court and before regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop and implement litigation strategies.
Requirements
- Active Bar membership.
- Experience litigating insurance coverage disputes related to long-tail liability claims for asbestos, product liability, toxic tort, and/or environmental damages.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in complex litigation preferred.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The salary wage range for this position is $225,000 to $435,000. The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
