About the Role
The BOSS Elementary POD Instructor will deliver high-quality instruction in a blended learning environment for high school students, combining traditional classroom teaching with online learning methodologies. This role involves collaborating with educators, support staff, and students to develop and implement effective instructional strategies that enhance engagement and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging blended learning lessons incorporating digital resources and traditional teaching methods.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and provide timely feedback to ensure mastery of subject matter.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials aligned with state standards and district goals.
- Utilize data analytics to tailor instruction to meet diverse student needs, fostering a personalized learning experience.
- Support students in developing digital literacy skills and encourage responsible use of technology.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians to provide progress updates and address concerns.
- Participate in professional development to enhance instructional practices and stay current with educational technologies.
- Design and implement instructional programs aligned with CSUSA’s educational philosophy and adopted curriculum objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in the subject area and grade level.
- Experience with blended learning models and instructional technology.
- Strong understanding of early childhood and elementary school curriculum and assessment practices.
- Previous experience in virtual teaching or online education environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency with educational technologies, including LMS, video conferencing tools, and online assessment platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and create an inclusive, supportive virtual learning environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple classes, track student progress, and meet deadlines.

Work Environment
This position operates in a POD location site setting, incorporating both in-person and online instruction. The BOSS High School POD Instructor will collaborate with a team of educators and work closely with students in a supportive, innovative learning environment.

The role involves extended use of computer-based technologies, as well as standing, sitting, and walking. Daily responsibilities combine traditional teaching with the demands of online instruction.
This position is exempt from the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
