Ops Training Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Operations Training Instructor or Senior Operations Training Instructor to develop, deliver, and evaluate nuclear plant operations training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct performance-based training for Reactor Operators and Non-Licensed Operators in accordance with systematic training models.
• Ensure training content stays current by incorporating industry reports, regulatory updates, and operational feedback.
• Prepare and evaluate trainees through examinations, classroom instruction, laboratory work, on-the-job training (OJT), and simulator assessments, and develop individualized training plans.
• Support plant operations, emergency preparedness, project management, and outage activities.
• Participate in audits and maintain training records.
• Achieve necessary certifications, including Senior Reactor Operator (SRO), within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear or power plant operations, with relevant technical education or certifications.
• For instructors: a high school diploma with extensive experience, or an associate’s/bachelor’s degree with related experience.
• For senior instructors: licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification preferred, along with significant operational experience.

Skills

• Experience with commercial nuclear training.
• Knowledge of the systematic approach to training (SAT).
