Bookkeeper [Private Client Services Group]
About the role
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm with most professionals located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid, meaning team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Support the Private Client Services Tax team in the preparation and organization of individual, trust, and estate tax engagements, including familiarity with Form 1040 and related schedules and supporting documentation
- Prepare Forms 1099 and manage related electronic filings for individual and family office clients
- Triage, organize, and track client-provided tax documents, ensuring completeness and maintaining checklists of outstanding items for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities
- Aid in bookkeeping and administrative support for private client engagements, including reconciliation of financial data used for tax compliance and planning
- Coordinate with tax professionals to support timely delivery of tax returns and client deliverables during peak filing seasons
- Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic client files in accordance with firm and PCS standards
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the PCS Tax team as needed
Requirements
- Ability to prepare Financial Statements from bookkeeping/accounting programs
- Knowledge of A/R, A/P, GL, and general understanding of taxes such as payroll, sales tax, income tax
- Strong attention to detail, work efficiently, and understand the importance of self-review of their work before submitting to the team
- Day-to-day client exposure with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritize work on several projects within a short period of time and handle the pressure of working within tight deadlines, understanding the importance of being responsive
- Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, bill.com or other accounting software programs
- 10+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred

Pay
In New York, the salary range for a Bookkeeper is $75,000 to $105,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded, and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
