Bookkeeper

Hybrid schedule: Monday–Wednesday onsite, Thursday–Friday remote.

About the role

The Bookkeeper/Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with month-end close. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations and cycle count adjustments.
• Assist with cost accounting activities, including standard cost updates and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, overhead, and production variances.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare sales tax filings and other regulatory reports as required.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).

Pay

$65,000.00 – $68,500.00 per year.
