About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records for a high-end yacht uniform business. This is a great opportunity for someone who is proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and has experience in bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Use QuickBooks Desktop to manage daily bookkeeping tasks and financial entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Follow established accounting processes without altering the existing system.
- Communicate effectively with team members across multiple locations.
- Provide consistent financial support to ensure smooth operations during the contract period.
- Work collaboratively with the team to address any financial or bookkeeping concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all company financial policies and procedures.
- Support financial reporting by preparing necessary documents and summaries as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to follow established financial procedures without deviation.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members across locations.
- Availability to work 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility to increase hours if needed.
- Prior experience in the yachting or luxury goods industry is a plus but not required.
