About the role
Full-time Bookkeeper position in the active Business Office, ensuring accurate and timely resident billing while maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Know and comply with established policies and procedures related to accounts receivable bookkeeping.
- Maintain, update, and monitor computer ledgers.
- Assist the Bookkeeping Office Manager with various office functions.
- Compile and update ancillary information by payor types, dates, and type of services.
- Bill all third-party carriers for payment and monitor/follow up on all payments.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare adjustments.
- Process ancillary census and bills according to Medicare PPS guidelines.
- Monitor and follow up on problems with new and pending Medicaid.
- Monitor and reconcile resident banking accounts.
Skills
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and accounts receivable functions.
- Working knowledge (experience preferred) of software programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with all disciplines in a challenging multi-cultural environment.
- Organized, energetic, and motivated.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak and write the English language.
