About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions and support basic human resources activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a pre-employment background and drug test.
Responsibilities
Accounting
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including vendor invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Work closely with management to monitor budgets and control expenses.
Human Resources Support
- Assist with employee onboarding and new hire paperwork.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
- Support payroll preparation by verifying employee hours and documentation.
- Help administer employee benefits and respond to general HR inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, hotel, or restaurant operations.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Experience with accounting software (Sage or similar ERP systems).
- Familiarity with payroll and HR processes is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
