Bookkeeper

Job Summary

TWS Remodeling is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in New Hope, MN.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and on time
• Generate customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality
• Aid in financial reporting and support internal and external audits
• Collaborate with the CFO to improve accounting procedures and streamline financial processes
• Respond promptly to vendor and customer inquiries while providing excellent customer service
• Utilize accounting software and Excel to maintain accurate financial data and reporting

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience required
• Experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, journal entries, account reconciliations, and double-entry bookkeeping
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data management abilities
• Knowledge of GAAP; experience with SOX compliance is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
