About the role

Bloomberg Television is looking for a highly motivated booking producer to join one of our flagship morning shows for a 6-month contract position at our world headquarters in New York City. You will be responsible for booking daily market guests and newsmakers, finding the appropriate voices under deadline pressure, handling pre-interviews and logistics for all guests, and preparing notes for the anchors.

You should have a broad interest in global news with a specialized focus on markets, finance, and the economy. You embrace challenges, make split-second decisions, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are an effective communicator across a global newsroom.

Responsibilities

  • Book guests for the daily show
  • Be proactive—pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table, and elevate our content
  • Pitch newsmakers and stories
  • Develop relationships within the business and finance communities globally
  • Work closely with other producers and talent
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment
  • Pivot and react as news events evolve

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience producing for live TV
  • Knowledge of business news and the financial markets
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility with hours

Pay

Salary Range = 35–40 USD hourly. The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
