Book Processor -Bonus Eligible

About the role

Follett Content Solutions is seeking a Book Processor for a full-time non-exempt role in our warehouse located in McHenry, IL. The position offers a base pay of $16.56 per hour with potential for a production bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations and report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• Maintain assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Pull incoming totes of books down from the top line.
• Accurately enter orders into the tracking system, noting any special instructions.
• Review orders for processing specifications and refer to proper instructions for clarification.
• Inspect product for dirt, damage, or other defects and clean, repair, or replace as necessary.
• Correctly match and label product according to instructions and processing procedures.
• Reinforce product using protective covering as directed.
• Install theft detection devices to product.
• Rework or repair product returned by Quality Assurance or the customer or as directed by management in an orderly and prompt manner.
• Place and record defective product in the rejection area.
• Move totes to the holding line as needed to wait for replacement books or supplies.
• Complete proper documentation for orders not completed and leave unfinished orders to be completed by other personnel.
• Perform work in other departments as directed.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Mandatory over-time as needed
• Ability to work in other departments when needed
