About the role

The Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy clinical program at St. Jude is a high-volume transplant and cellular therapy service serving a diverse pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patient population. We conduct approximately 100 transplants per year, including both autologous and allogeneic donors, for a variety of malignant and non-malignant disease indications. BMTCT also provides a cellular therapy program, which includes the use of viral specific T-cells (VSTs), chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) engineered T-cells, and gene therapy products.

Responsibilities

  • Treat a high volume of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct research in one of the largest pediatric BMTCT programs in the world
  • Participate in a cohort of clinical fellows across multiple pediatric sub-specialties, including hematology/oncology, pharmaceutical, psychosocial, and infectious diseases

Requirements

  • Completed fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology prior to BMTCT start date
  • International applicants must be ECFMG certified

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Pediatrics or related field
  • Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology
  • Strong academic record

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
