Bone and Marrow Transplant Specialist

NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone Health are seeking a full-time academic physician to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology with expertise in bone-marrow and stem-cell transplantation and cellular therapy.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide clinical care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, contribute to education and research within the division, and help maintain FACT accreditation for allogeneic stem-cell transplantation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert clinical care in bone-marrow, stem-cell transplantation, and cellular therapy
• Perform stem-cell and bone-marrow harvesting, tissue typing and evaluation, and infusion practices
• Prevent and treat transplant complications and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD)
• Participate in programmatic requirements to sustain FACT accreditation for allogeneic transplantation
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for a diverse patient population with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Engage in teaching, scholarly activities, and programmatic development

Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice and scholarly activities
