Bombardier Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1071

About the role

Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday–Thursday, 3 pm–1 am. The shift incentive includes a 10%–15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, formal airframe training and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Remove and install panels and components
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve aircraft system/component issues
• De-fuel aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operate ground support equipment
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components
• Assist in aircraft movement, performance runs, and taxiing
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling
• Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases using basic computer skills
• Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory)

Experience

• AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience.
• AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe preferred. 2–4 years aviation maintenance experience; corporate aircraft experience preferred.
• AMT III: Airframe license required; Powerplant highly preferred. 4–6+ years aviation maintenance experience; corporate aircraft experience highly preferred.
• AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license required. 6+ years aviation maintenance experience; extensive corporate aircraft platform experience; subject-matter expert in all areas of the job.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs
• Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting
• Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands
• Climb ladders and stairs; work in small, restricted areas
• Stand for long periods

Mental Requirements

• Understand and implement regulations and guidelines
• Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation
• Work with others in a professional manner

Supervision

Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance; may be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Working Conditions

• Hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations
• Work outside during aircraft runs will occur
• Varied positions in and around the aircraft

• Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
• Jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices
• Tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment
