Fleet Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

Volunteer Fleet Services is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Fleet Mechanic to join their growing team in Murfreesboro. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of fleet or diesel mechanic experience, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch service.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues - Perform quality repairs the first time - Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections - Handle engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and electrical repairs - Work alongside a skilled team

Requirements

- 2+ years of fleet or diesel mechanic experience - Experience with light, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks - Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills - Valid driver's license - High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

- OEM training preferred - EPA 608/609 certifications (not required) - DOT inspection experience

Skills

- Proficiency with common diagnostic tools - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong attention to detail
