We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker with a strong background in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of steam-generating boilers and associated boiler tube systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise working with high-pressure boilers, tube rolling, welding, and boiler inspections, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair steam-generating boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Capable of laying out, positioning, aligning, and securing components prior to assembly.
- Cut, shape and fit metal components to construct and repair boiler tubes, drums, and headers.
- Perform tube removal and tube replacement in boilers.
- Use torches, welding equipment, and cutting tools for fabrication and repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and work performed.
- Inspect boiler systems for cracks, leaks, corrosion, and other defects to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct hydrostatic and pressure testing on repaired and newly installed systems.
- Preheat if necessary, using hand torch or heating furnace.
