About The Role The Boiler Operator Blue is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial boilers within a facility, ensuring continuous steam and hot water supply to meet operational demands. This role requires vigilant monitoring of boiler systems, performing routine inspections, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance and safety standards. The Boiler Operator will troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Collaboration with maintenance teams and adherence to company protocols are essential to uphold equipment integrity and workplace safety. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in supporting the facility’s production processes by maintaining reliable boiler operations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.Valid Boiler Operator certification or license as required by state regulations.Minimum of 2 years experience operating industrial boilers or related equipment.Strong understanding of boiler operation principles, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and operational procedures. Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications such as OSHA safety training or HVAC credentials.Experience with computerized control systems and automated boiler monitoring software.Mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing boiler components.Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.Basic knowledge of environmental regulations related to emissions and waste management. Responsibilities Operate and monitor boiler systems, including starting, stopping, and adjusting controls to maintain proper pressure and temperature levels.Conduct regular inspections of boilers, burners, and auxiliary equipment to identify and address potential issues.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure equipment reliability.Maintain accurate logs and records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks.Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, implementing corrective actions to prevent hazards.Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to boiler operation.Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades.Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and regulatory changes.
