Body Technician

About the role

We're looking for a dependable Body Technician to help keep MPW's trucks, trailers, and equipment operating safely and looking their best. In this hands-on role, you'll perform body repairs, painting, and maintenance while supporting the reliability and appearance of our fleet through quality workmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform body repairs on trucks, trailers, and other company equipment.
• Complete paint preparation, refinishing, and touch-up work on fleet equipment.
• Repair damaged metal and fiberglass components using appropriate techniques.
• Perform mechanical maintenance as needed to support equipment reliability.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance activities in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment to identify repair needs and maintain quality workmanship.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively to complete repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate repair progress and equipment needs with the Paint & Body Supervisor.
• Support fleet readiness by helping minimize equipment downtime.
• Work cooperatively with maintenance team members to meet operational priorities.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma with coursework or specialization in industrial or vocational trades.
• Two to three years of technical school or equivalent on-the-job experience preferred.
• Five to seven years of paint and body repair experience preferred.
• Experience repairing and refinishing both metal and fiberglass components.
• Ability to provide and maintain personal hand tools required for the position.
