Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and workflow for the heavy-duty truck and commercial vehicle body shop
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize repair work to maximize shop productivity and turnaround times
- Lead, coach, and develop body technicians, painters, and support team members
- Review vehicle damage and help develop accurate repair plans and estimates
- Oversee body repair, paint, prep, welding, fiberglass, frame, and structural repair work
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional shop environment
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with company safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of collision, body repair, or related heavy-duty repair experience preferred
- Previous leadership, foreman, production management, or body shop management experience
- Strong understanding of body repair, paint and refinishing, welding, fiberglass, and frame repair
- Experience estimating collision damage and developing repair plans preferred
- Ability to manage multiple repair jobs, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong understanding of technician productivity, workflow, and quality control
- Comfortable working with shop management and estimating software
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead by example and hold teams accountable for quality, safety, and performance
- Heavy-duty truck, trailer, commercial vehicle, or fleet collision experience strongly preferred
