About the Role
The Body Shop Manager is responsible for growing body shop business through insurance adjusters, customers, and other referral sources while leading the team to hit schedule, productivity, and quality targets.
- Forecast department goals, recruit and develop body shop staff, and build/control the annual operating budget.
- Track repair progress in the shop to ensure proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
- Reduce comebacks through quality checks and address customer concerns promptly within dealership guidelines.
- Stay aligned with manufacturer requirements for warranty repairs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Review the day's workflow and monitor vehicle repair progress.
- Communicate with technicians, service partners, and insurance contacts.
- Balance estimates, approvals, and schedule changes to maintain steady shop pace.
- Confirm vehicle readiness for delivery and plan follow-ups to prevent delays.
Requirements
- 2-4 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent education/experience).
- Proven leadership and coaching ability.
- Comfortable using technology to support a strong customer experience.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
- Ability to set priorities, multitask, and meet targeted goals.
