About the role

As our Body Radiologist at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, you will join a prestigious, patient-centered team dedicated to clinical innovation. You will play a key role as an educator and mentor in our top-tier residency program while leveraging your expertise to interpret studies across additional modalities—with a preference for ultrasound—to ensure comprehensive diagnostic care. Every day you will provide comprehensive body imaging services. Your daily routine will involve active collaboration with our multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, and referring physicians, providing expert consultations that directly impact patient outcomes. You will participate in tumor boards and clinical conferences to ensure that every patient receives a definitive, evidence-based diagnosis. Utilizing the Virginia Mason Production System, you will actively contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, while maintaining the high standards of care for which our medical center is known.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive body imaging services.
• Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and referring physicians to deliver expert consultations that impact patient outcomes.
• Participate in tumor boards and clinical conferences to ensure definitive, evidence‑based diagnoses.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives using the Virginia Mason Production System.
• Educate and mentor diagnostic radiology residents.
• Interpret studies across modalities, with a preference for ultrasound.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
• Completed a fellowship in Body or Ultrasound Imaging at an ACGME‑accredited facility.
• Active Washington State medical license, or eligibility for licensure.
