Body Imaging Radiologist
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a record of clinical excellence, strong teaching abilities, and scholarly interests. The position involves interpreting outpatient, emergency, and inpatient radiology studies, including MR, CT, US, radiography, and occasional fluoroscopy. The role also includes educating medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in a research or scholarship portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret medical images to determine patient status and future medical care
- Determine exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders to Radiological Technicians
- Administer trace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhance diagnostic images
- Perform minimally invasive surgical techniques such as embolization, angioplasty and ablation with image guidance
- Work with Primary Care Doctors, Nurses and Radiology Technicians to administer treatment and manage pain
- Maintain patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Create a radiation treatment plan for patients with cancer
- Manage radiation side effects in cancer patients
Requirements
Education/Academic Credentials: M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent medical degree; board certification in Radiology; fellowship training in abdominal imaging, body imaging, and/or cardiothoracic imaging preferred with experience in general emergency radiology; eligibility for licensure in Colorado. New graduates and experienced radiologists are encouraged to apply.
Experience: Competent in all imaging modalities, including basic fluoroscopy (typically performed by an APP/resident). The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained and competent in interpreting general ED studies in a call environment, including radiography, CT, US, and MRI modalities. Prior record of academic or educational scholarship is preferred. Experience in teaching students and/or trainees is preferred.
Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited school of medicine
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board

Position Details, Salary, And Benefits
Salary: $465,600.00 - $559,800.00 / yr
Benefits: Full benefits package including an attractive 401(a) Social Security replacement savings program, a 457(b) retirement savings program, and employer matching contributions (9.5%).
