About the role

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. This role involves investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, damages, and adjusting and negotiating claims.

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic to moderate injury claims
• Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle

Requirements

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience handling attorney-represented bodily injury claims and experience with Colossus is preferred. Candidates located within Eastern Time Zone states are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

Compensation for this role is competitive, with a base salary range of $50,000 - $117,700, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes base salary, performance-based incentives, and other benefits.
