BOAT COORDINATOR

About the role

Supervises and coordinates production phases of vessel within a manufacturing plant and ensures production schedules are met. Performs under the general direction of Superintendent, Plant Manager, or other Division Manager.

Responsibilities

• Develop tank dry search, launch and delivery schedule.
• Ensure safe working conditions in production areas.
• Coordinate with Foremen to ensure product compliance with Company standards and specifications.
• Monitor the status of all schedules for assigned job.
• Coordinate and monitor efforts of production crafts.
• Monitor material ordering and material receiving.
• Monitor man-hour budget, safety and quality of work.
• Function as contact with owner and owner’s representative on the production aspect.

Skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing operations as related to plant products and components and applicable regulatory requirements and practices.
• Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
• Ability to plan cost effective work procedures compatible with quality requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate, instruct, build and direct a production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, supplemented by course work in production management, industrial technology or related area or equivalent job training/experience.
• Experience in plant operations and supervision.
