Board Operator & Remote Technician

Cumulus Media in Reno, NV operates four radio stations—KBUL 98.1 The Bull, KKOH 780 News/Talk, KNEV The Vibe 95.5, and KWYL Wild 102.9—reaching thousands of listeners daily across the Reno metro area and surrounding counties.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and flexible Part-Time Board Operator & Remote Technician to provide programming and control console support in a fast-paced media environment. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with a passion for entertainment and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate the console in a radio station control room, broadcasting live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs.
• Play all commercials as scheduled and maintain commercial and transmitter logs.
• Monitor and update weather, traffic, and news reports.
• Monitor for EAS alerts, Amber alerts, and breaking news.
• Ensure the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from the master control room.

Requirements

• Previous control console operation experience preferred.
• Audio production skills preferred.
• Ability to learn FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines.
• Proficient in computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Audition or other audio editing software preferred.
• Familiarity with audio mixers preferred.
• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of hours are in the evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

USD $14.00 – USD $15.00 per hour.
