About the Role
Rebuilding Together North Jersey partners with the community and skilled labor to supply volunteers that spend rewarding days doing repairs and modifications to homes and non-profit facilities, allowing people to live in homes that are safe, healthy, and accessible. Volunteers are also needed for committees and fundraising activities, including Trivia Night and our Holiday House Tour. Join the RTNJ Board of Directors to use your time and talent to support our mission of Repairing homes, Revitalizing communities, Rebuilding lives. We are looking for engaged board members to help us set and meet our goals of growing the organization.
Requirements
Flexible based on candidate
- Experience volunteering is preferred
- Time commitment of at least 5 hours per month
- Annual giving levels of $1,000 or more
- Be an ambassador for the RTNJ mission in your daily life
- Attend monthly board meetings
- Attend and support special events
- Ability to network on behalf of the organization
- Join 2 committees
Committees
Typically, candidates for the board will be considered after serving on a RTNJ committee or in other volunteer role. RTNJ's current committees include Fund Development, Marketing & PR, Project Development, and Governance.
