Duties
- Advocate for improved transparency and accountability in disaster relief and humanitarian aid
- Support the development and implementation of policies and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of disaster response and recovery
- Engage with stakeholders to promote community-based organizing and participation in disaster preparedness and relief efforts
- Contribute to the advancement of the localization objectives of the Grand Bargain through strategic initiatives
- Represent DAP at various events and meetings to advocate for its mission and goals
Requirements
- A background in corporate philanthropy or CSR
- Experience in nonprofit governance and board leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to advancing the mission of DAP and promoting effective disaster response and recovery
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, international relations, business administration)
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization
- Proven track record of successful board service and/or board leadership
- Experience with strategic planning and organizational development
- Knowledge of international humanitarian law and disaster response protocols
