Board Member: Corporate Philanthropy/Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Duties

• Advocate for improved transparency and accountability in disaster relief and humanitarian aid
• Support the development and implementation of policies and strategies to enhance the effectiveness of disaster response and recovery
• Engage with stakeholders to promote community-based organizing and participation in disaster preparedness and relief efforts
• Contribute to the advancement of the localization objectives of the Grand Bargain through strategic initiatives
• Represent DAP at various events and meetings to advocate for its mission and goals

Requirements

• A background in corporate philanthropy or CSR
• Experience in nonprofit governance and board leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Commitment to advancing the mission of DAP and promoting effective disaster response and recovery

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, international relations, business administration)
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization
• Proven track record of successful board service and/or board leadership
• Experience with strategic planning and organizational development
• Knowledge of international humanitarian law and disaster response protocols
