About the role

BCBAs at Hope Behavioral Consulting deliver ethical, evidence-based behavior-analytic services to clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities, following all Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) guidelines. Responsibilities include clinical case management, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical case management for assigned caseload: complete assessments, conceptualize goals and therapy plans, recommend therapy hours, create treatment plans, review data, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Engage families and caregivers in treatment, including monthly parent/staff training in appropriate settings.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within timelines; convert sessions in the time-reporting platform within 24 hours.
  • Accept supervisory feedback and adjust practices accordingly.
  • Meet productivity expectations: 30 hours of personal billable time per week (120 hours per month), entered and converted before the start of the next week.
  • Act as a mandated reporter for alleged abuse and neglect, per state guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Working conditions

  • Work occurs indoors and outdoors, except in inclement weather, across clinic, client homes, or community settings.
  • Close contact with individuals; potential exposure to intermittent loud sounds and high noise levels.
  • Significant motor vehicle use; requires an active, state-approved driver’s license.
  • Flexible hours, including outside normal business hours.

Physical requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or traveling.
  • Walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and quick body movements while working with clients.
  • Travel to various work sites; ability to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Support clients and/or adaptive equipment; maintain professional appearance and hygiene.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and active BCBA credential in good standing with the BACB, or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience providing behavior-analytic services.
  • Thorough understanding of ABA principles and strong clinical skillset.
  • Organized, punctual, and able to set and meet goals and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills across all modalities; ability to collaborate with colleagues and other disciplines.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving, flexibility, and cultural competency.
  • Alignment with the organization’s core values.

Skills

  • Functional analyses, behavior program development/monitoring, and competency-based staff training.
  • Specialized knowledge in developmental/intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or mental health disorders.
  • Understanding of human behavior, learning, motivation, and psychological research methods.
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and produce logical solutions.
  • Proficiency in software systems such as Central Reach, Microsoft Office, and ADP.
  • Discretion with confidential information; ability to prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Professional composure in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers.
  • Cultural competency and effective communication with diverse individuals and groups.
