Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

About the role

This is a part-time or full-time, on-site/hybrid role for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in North Carolina. The BCBA will conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, oversee ABA therapy implementation, and train and support staff members. The role includes collaborating with families and caregivers to provide parent education and maintain open communication to enhance treatment outcomes. Continuous monitoring and analysis of client progress will be integral to the position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Socially Savvy, etc.)
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Oversee ABA therapy implementation
• Supervise and mentor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and/or behavior technicians
• Train caregivers and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Provide parent education and maintain open communication with families
• Manage documentation and ensure compliance with insurance, funding, and regulatory requirements
• Analyze client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
• Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• Active state licensure/certification to practice behavior analysis
• Experience with assent-based, play-based, and child-led approaches to ABA
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based ABA principles, interventions, and ethical guidelines
• Strong clinical decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
