What You’ll Do
- Conduct Assessments: Complete initial ABA assessments for children with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Gather Meaningful Information: Use caregiver interview, observation, record review, assessment tools, and clinical judgment to understand each child’s needs.
- Create Treatment Recommendations: Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on the child’s strengths, needs, family priorities, and medically necessary service level.
- Complete Assessment Reports: Write clear, thorough, and timely assessment documentation that supports clinical quality and payer requirements.
- Collaborate With the Team: Work with clinical leadership and internal team members to support a smooth handoff from assessment to treatment planning.
- Maintain Clinical Quality: Ensure assessments are completed with professionalism, accuracy, and attention to each child’s unique needs.
We’re Looking For
- A BCBA who is clinically thoughtful, reliable, responsive, and strong in assessment and documentation.
- Current BCBA certification required
- Virginia LBA required, or willingness to obtain before starting services
- Advanceable ABA reimburses the cost of obtaining the Virginia LBA
- 1+ years of ABA experience preferred
- Experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities
- Strong assessment, documentation, and treatment-planning skills
- Strong communication skills with families and internal team members
- Ability to complete timely, high-quality clinical documentation
- A collaborative and quality-focused approach
